Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum (Muğla)

Every piece raised from the sea is a silent storyteller of civilization…
The Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology, located inside the Bodrum Castle in Muğla, houses one of the richest underwater archaeology collections in the world.
Ancient shipwrecks, glass amphorae, golden ornaments, and even a queen’s tomb… This museum offers an unforgettable journey for both archaeology enthusiasts and history lovers.
Established in 1964 within Bodrum Castle, the museum displays artifacts from world-renowned underwater excavations such as the Uluburun Shipwreck, Serçe Limanı Glass Wreck, and Finike Wreck.
Dating back to the 14th century BC, these shipwrecks reveal striking details about trade routes, lifestyles, and production techniques of their time.
Highlights include the Glass Hall, Gold Room, Amphora Hall, Shipwreck Gallery, and the Tomb of the Carian Princess.
