Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden, opened in 2015, is Turkey’s first butterfly garden and home to the largest butterfly flight area in Europe. Covering 7,200 m², it consists of two main sections: the Butterfly Flight Zone and the Insect Museum.

The garden features unique butterfly-shaped architecture and maintains a tropical climate with 28°C temperature and 80% humidity. Special UV-transmitting glass allows butterflies to navigate naturally, just as they do in their natural habitats.

Around 20,000 live butterflies from 60 species can be seen flying each month. The butterflies arrive in the pupa stage from countries such as Costa Rica, Kenya, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Panama, and complete their metamorphosis inside the garden. Visitors are also surrounded by 195 plant species, some of which grow only here.

The Insect Museum displays butterfly life cycles, behaviors, classifications, and many fascinating insect species.
