Located in Kayadibi village of Şebinkarahisar district, Giresun, the Virgin Mary Monastery is an impressive religious structure hidden among steep cliffs.
With its entrance area, inner courtyard, sacred water spring (ayazma), and rooms reached by stone stairs, it offers both an architectural and spiritual discovery.
Dominated by silence and tranquility, it is also one of the most intriguing exploration routes in Giresun.
Although the exact construction date of the monastery is unknown, it is believed to date back to the Byzantine period.
Carved out of rock, the structure was expanded over time and used as a religious center.
