Founded in Ankara in 1999, Zakkum began its stage career under the name “Raindog,” performing songs in English. Soon after, the band started producing its own songs and secured a unique place in the Turkish alternative rock scene with its emotional lyrics and melodic sound. Today, Zakkum is known as one of Turkey’s most beloved rock bands, admired for its melancholic tones and captivating stage performances.
